Ramadan: Malami Foundation kicks off food aid to underprivileged in Kebbi

Kadi Malami Foundation, an NGO founded by former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Chika Malami, has kicked off distribution of food items to less privileged in Kebbi State ahead of the Ramadan fast.

Publicity Secretary of the foundation Mallam Yahuza Dada confirmed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.

According to him, “the Kadi Malami Foundation has commenced its annual distribution of food items to the less privileged in the state at its headquarters in Birnin Kebbi. This philanthropic tradition takes place each year during Ramadan to alleviate hardship experienced during this period.

“During the ongoing distribution, Malam Yahaya Koko, Manager of Kadi Malami Foundation, emphasized that the issuance of ration cards ensures that every beneficiary receives food items. These cards also promote transparency and efficiency in catering to all target groups.

“Last year, the Ramadan Food Distribution Program provided food supplies to over forty-five thousand households, primarily consisting of the weak, needy, and less privileged in the state. This year’s program aims to extend support to an estimated sixty thousand households across Kebbi State.”

Dada also qoated the NGO Manager, Koko to have urged the general public to be patience during the process, assuring that distribution will follow shortly.

He stated that, one of the beneficiary , Malam Ibrahim Haliru praised the foundation for the smooth conduct of the exercise,its fairness and inclusiveness.

He also expressed gratitude to God Almighty, the foundation’s founder, Abubakar Malami SAN CON, and the entire staff for their efforts to ensure that the less privileged in the society are getting something regularly and smiling during this period.

Dada added that, those present at the distribution including members of the Kadi Malami Foundation team, including Assistant Manager Hajia Saratu Malami and Welfare Director Hajia Ummu Malami, among others.
