Senator Stella Oduah has urged Muslims in Nigeria to use the fasting exercise provided in the Holy month of Ramadan to intensify their prayers for the country to overcome its challenges

Stella Oduah, who represented Anambra North in the 9th Senate, said that the spiritual exercise avails the Muslim ummah the right opportunity to make supplications to God on behalf of the country and its leaders across the country.

In her goodwill message issued from Abuja on Monday, Stella Oduah encouraged the Muslims to imbibe and practice the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammed (SAW) in their daily lives , she enjoined them to remain steadfast to the spiritual obligations that come with Ramadan.

Stella advocated for peace just as she lauded religious leaders for preaching peace , tolerance, honesty and forgiveness stressing that those qualities are most needed in the country especially in its current economic situation.

Stella advocated for peace ; ” One of the five important pillars of Islam is Ramadan and it provides the opportunity for our dear Muslim brothers and sisters and all Nigerians to reflect on our daily lives and make amends , especially in areas of peace, tolerance, forgiveness and honesty.

“Our nation is no doubt currently faced with challenges from insecurity, economic instability, hunger and so on , but they can be surmounted if we come together and unite against negative vices and pray for our leaders to do what is right.

“As a nation we must support one another regardless of religion and tribe, the Ramadan season opens up the Golden opportunity for Muslims to intensify their prayers for the country. May Allah grant them the strength as they embark on this spiritual exercise while I wish our dear Muslims a spiritual fulfilling Ramadan fast.
