Provoking Divine Help (Part 2)

TOTAL EXPERIENCE is a platform for having encounters with the Word of God. These encounters are the divine instruments through which our lives are enhanced and our future positively shaped.

Today, we will continue our series, PROVOKING DIVINE HELP.

INTRODUCTION:

The help of God was the secret of the early church.

The help of God was the secret of the heroes of faith; Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob enjoyed the help of God. They did not have to struggle.

Last week, we spoke about the heroes of faith listed above. We also spoke about the power of prayer.

If you didn’t get the material for last week, kindly do so as it will tremendously bless you.

Today, we will be talking about the Potency of the Word.

2. UNDERSTANDING THE POTENCY OF THE WORD OF GOD.

PSALM 107:20.KJV. 20 “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”

Matthew 8:5-8.KJV. 5 “And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,

6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.”

LUKE 5:1-7.KJV. 1 “And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,

2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.

3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.”

Matthew 7:24.KJV. 24 “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:”

God’s word is the way to secure divine help. Every virtue in God is in His word. His word is His instruction, prescription, and direction to men.

The Word of God contains every single thing you need in your life. Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome will always say, “what God wants to give you in your life is not a healing, what God wants to give you in your life is not a job, what God wants to give you in your life is not money, what God wants to give you is the Word of God in your life because it will make you what it talks about”.

The Word of God in your spirit is what you need! Go for the Word!

Proverbs 4:20-22.KJV. 20 “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”

The word of God is the sword of the Spirit; it is God’s wisdom for the defeat of the adversary in warfare and every area of life. The instruction (God’s word) you put to work determines the future you will create.

Anytime you’re confronted by any negative circumstance and reach out for your sword, your victory in that conflict is guaranteed! Brothers and sisters, learn to engage the Word. Get to that point where whenever you see that your life seems not to be in alignment with what the Word says concerning you, you refuse to give up. You keep using your faith filled confessions of the Word to shape your life and destiny.  Are situations now and conform in your favor! The issue is that Christian’s give up too easily and start crying.

Don’t cry! Don’t beg! Never! You are a king! What do kings do? Kings talk, kings make decrees. Start talking. Discover what the Word of God says about you and start talking.

The help of God is in His word. The knowledge of the truth is what guarantees divine help.

Isaiah 5:13.KJV. 13 “Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are  famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.”

Your level of depth in the word of God will determine the degree of divine help you can enjoy. Until you are able to locate the word, you can’t access divine help.

When we talk about the truth, we are not talking about intellectualism, nor are we talking about philosophy. We are talking about the revealed word of God.

Brethren, you can use God’s word to sort out anything. Not just the one you have heard, but the one that has been revealed to you. The revelation of the truth comes by the help of the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 2:6.KJV. 6 “Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:”

Your level of depth in God’s word determines the degree of divine help you can access. It will determine the kind of results you get in life. Stop wasting energy; knowledge of the Word is the way to victory.

1 Peter 2:9.KJV. 9 “He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.”

There is a rhema word for every situation.

Rhema is a greek word which means quickened, specific word from the Holy Spirit directed to you. The Rhema word will help you see a single scripture in a whole new light and how to apply it to your life. It will guide you exactly how to respond to your specific challenge or circumstance.

Get yourself set to learn what it takes to walk in liberty; no man can do it for you. It is your personal responsibility.

PRAYER OF SALVATION

In all of these, the first step is to be born again as

Romans 10:9-10 says

”that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.“

Kindly say this prayer aloud;

“O Lord God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Your word says,”…whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2v21).

I ask Jesus to come into my heart to be the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit and according to Roman 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved”,

I declare that I am saved; I am born-again; I am a child of God!

I now have Christ dwelling in me, and greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4)!

I now walk in the consciousness of my new life in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!”

Congratulations!
