The Cross River State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress says it will organize a solidarity march for President Tinubu as well as the state governor Senator Bassey Otu.
The party said the plan is aimed at showcasing the achievements of the president.
State chairman of the party Alphonsus Eba disclosed this in Calabar said the party has formally written and obtained permission from the police authority to stage the march.
“Our president needs more time and so we shall go on the streets to solidarity with him as well as the governor Senator Bassey Otu.
“We shall solidarize with our governor so as to encourage him to do more and also solidarize with the president and use the opportunity to reel out his achievements.
“In doing so, we have complied with the orders of the IG by obtaining a permit for rhr rally which will be along the carnival route.
“It is only Cross River APC that has secured the right to use this route and for those who want trouble the only other route is the Odukpani junction heading towards Itu”, he said.
He explained that the idea is to show support for the government they worked hard to install and not allow criminal elements to torpedo it.
He also disclosed that the state will not be allowed to become a safe heaven for any violent protest as the state has not recovered from the EndSARS destructions.
Besides the solidarity march, the party will also hold engagements with various stakeholders and also organize interdenominational prayers.
