President Mohammadu Buhari, the APC presidential candidate, has defeated PDP candidate Atiku Abubakar in the presidential election in Kebbi State.
In the final results declared by the State Collation Officer for presidential election, Prof. Aruma Yau Hamish Bichi, President Buhari polled 581,552 votes, while Atiku Abubakar garnered 154,282.
Bichi stated that the total valid votes stood as 756,605, while rejected votes and total votes cast remained 47,150 and 803,755, respectively.
While addressing newsmen after declaration of the results, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State commended the people of the state over their peaceful conduct during and after the election.
He urged them to come out en mass without violence to vote for the candidate of their choice in the forthcoming governorship and house of assembly elections.
Earlier, state PDP chairman Alhaji Saadu Haruna judged the election fair and free in the state.

APC: 581,552
PDP: 154,282
Total valid votes: 756,605
Rejected votes: 47,150
