The Presidency on Thursday categorically denied appointing Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi or endorsing an organisation calling itself the ‘Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council’, warning the public and international partners to disregard claims to the contrary.

In a statement signed by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Presidency said it had ‘come to the notice of the Federal Government of Nigeria’ that Prince Adeyemi was representing himself as an appointee of the Presidency under the banner of the alleged council.

The statement made it clear that ‘such an office does not exist under this administration and no appointment has been made in that regard.’

‘The unsuspecting public is hereby advised to note that such an office does not exist under this administration and no appointment has been made in that regard,’ the notice said.
