A presidential aspirant in the last primaries of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Moses Ayom, has congratulated Nigeria’s President-elect, Bola Tinubu, for his victory at last Saturday’s presidential election.

Ayom, a strong mobilizer of the APC, in a statement made available to our correspondent in Makurdi on Wednesday, also congratulated all the Senators-elect and House of Representatives members-elect for coming out victorious during the elections.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), announced Tinubu as the President-elect in the early hours on Wednesday, 1st March, 2023.

Ayom who had earlier contested the presidential primaries that produced Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the presidential candidate commended the people of the state for voting overwhelmingly for Tinubu and other National Assembly members.

However, he called on supporters of the party in Benue to come out on their numbers on Saturday, 11th March, 2023 and display the same confidence by voting the Governorship Candidate of the APC, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia as governor of the state in the election.

Ayom charged the people of Benue State to ensure a landslide victory, adding that he expects that the victory by Rev Fr Alia during the governorship election should be such that no Governor-elect has ever experienced in the history of Benue state.

He said he was working with a group that has promised a reward for communities that come out with the highest number of votes cast during the 2023 governorship election next week Saturday.

“They (electorate) should go ahead and ensure that they vote Rev Fr Alia as the most voted candidate ever in the history of Benue State because an organization, which I am part of are planning a reward for any community or ward that comes out with the highest number of votes cast during the governorship election on Saturday, 11th March, 2023.

“The APC is also aware that pensioners at the State and Local Government levels are being owed about 60 months pension arrears. But we also know that in some cases pensioners are owed higher, while in other cases, it may be slightly lower.”

“However, we are certain that the administration of Rev Fr Alia will address all these issues and bring a new lease of life to pensioners in the state.

‘So we advise pensioners not to lose hope, but to keep hope alive because the non-payment of pensions and gratuity will become a thing of the past under the able leadership of Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia as Governor of Benue State,” he added.
