A man, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa, has landed in trouble for violating a nine years old girl (names withheld), in Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State.
Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Magaji Musa Majya, who disclosed this at the weekend, said the suspect, aged 25, lured the minor into his shop and sexually abused her.
Majya said the case, which was one of 18 similar cases of sodomy and rape recorded in the last 10 days in the state, would soon be charged to court.
The police spokesman also disclosed that the command had arrested two notorious armed robbery suspects, who specialised in snatching phones from their victims and attacking residents.
The suspects, whose names were given as Muhammed, alias Aljan, of Sheka Quarters and Rabiu, alias Hitler, of Hausawa Quarters, had operated in and around Sheka, Darmanawa, Hausawa Gyadi-Gyadi, Maidile, Danmaliki, Sabuwar Gandu, Shagari Quarters and Ja’en Quarters.
According to the police, Muhammed, who had earlier fled Kano for Abuja five months ago, after engaging in a number of criminal activities, was eventually nabbed on Sallah day, barely three hours after returning to the state.
He added that Rabiu had been previously charged to court for a different offence, adding: “Now that a case of armed robbery is fully established against him, he will be reproduced back to the police, investigated thoroughly and charged with armed robbery, as declared by the CP Kano.”
