The police in Enugu have arrested secretary to a high ranking official of the National Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Enugu, for alleged involvement in employment scam in the institution.
In a statement at the weekend, the Enugu State Police Command spokesman, Ebere Amaraizu, said the command had commenced a full-scale investigations into the alleged employment fraud.
According to her, “Stella was nabbed by the operatives on July 30, 2017, over her alleged involvement in fraudulent activities/employment fraud. The suspect is now helping the police in their investigations.”
Meanwhile, three persons were feared dead when a tanker, with registration number WAM 228 XA, loaded with kerosene toppled over at Awkunanaw, along the Enugu/Port Harcourt expressway.
A police statement noted that those injured in the accident are now receiving treatment at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku/Ozalla Enugu.
