Police arrest suspect removing metal drain ducts on Third Mainland Bridge

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a suspect who was removing metal drain ducts of the state’s Third Mainland Bridge.

It was gathered that the suspect Ibrahim Ashafa, 21, was caugt in the act of removing metal drain ducts at about 4:30 a.m on Monday by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS)on patrol of Third Mainland Bridge.

Recovered from him were four metal drain ducts, spanners, plier, rope, screw driver, wheel spanner and other incrementing items.

The Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, while urging the operatives to intensify efforts in bringing to book vandals of state’s infrastructures directed that the suspect should be charged to court.

It was gathered that the suspect has confessed to the police on his alleged criminal activity.
