Police arrest suspect, launch investigation into Destiny Boy’s death

The Ogun State Police Command has commenced investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of singer, Afeez Adeshina, popularly known as Destiny Boy.

The command disclosed this in a terse statement shared on X on Monday.

It added that one suspect, whose identity has not been revealed, is in custody in connection with the 22-year-old singer’s demise.

The statement reads, “The Ogun State Police Command has since commenced investigations into the death of Adesina Afeez, aged 22 years, popularly known as Destiny Boy.

“The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Homicide Section, for detailed investigation. One suspect is currently in custody while investigations are ongoing.”

News of Destiny Boy’s death circulated on social media on Sunday.

The Fuji star’s mother, Saidat Adeshina later disclosed that he died after battling a serious medical condition for two years.

According to her, the musician suffered from seizures, which forced the family to seek medical and traditional cure, to no avail.
