Police, Airport Authority recover 16 vehicles, warn owners

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Lagos State Police Command have recovered 16 abandoned vehicles from different locations in the state.

The airport authority and the police have warned the owners of the vehicles to come forward with the relevant documents to claim them, as they would be auctioned within 21 days.

The accidented vehicles are parked at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, towing office; Ilasan Police Station, Lekki Police Station and Ifako, Gbagada Police Division.

Others are at Gbagada, Maroko Division, Lekki, Odo-Noforija Eredo Division, Epe, Festac Town, and Bariga Division, all in Lagos State.

The vehicles are: Unregistered Toyota Avensis; Mercedes Benz C300 car, with registration number SMK 999 FP; Toyota Highlander, with number plate SMK 733 GY; Chrysler bus, BH 326 FJK; Nissan space wagon, KTU 247 AX; Toyota space wagon, EPE 506 CM; unregistered Sienna mini van; Ford bus, JJ 868 BC; unregistered Volvo car; Volkswagen bus, with number, AAA 463 YR; Hyundai Sonata car, unregistered; Sienna, with registration number LSR 472 DN; unregistered Toyota Camry; Nissan Quest mini van, DF 977 FST; and Toyota Camry, with registration number GGE 954 GZ.
