Lawmaker unveils agenda for second term

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has screened and cleared Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to contest the 2027 Kogi Central Senate election.
A statement issued by her media team on Wednesday disclosed that the screening exercise took place in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, the same day. She was screened alongside other aspirants seeking elective offices under the platform of the PDP ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, she expressed gratitude to party leaders, supporters and the people of Kogi Central for their continued confidence in her leadership.
“Today, I travelled to Lokoja to participate in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) screening exercise for aspirants seeking elective offices in the 2027 general elections,” she said.
“Taking no chances, I arrived fully prepared with all required credentials and supporting documents. I am pleased to share that I was successfully screened and officially cleared to contest the 2027 Kogi Central Senatorial Election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).”

“This marks a renewed mandate for quality representation, purposeful leadership, and continued service to the people,” she stated.
While reaffirming her dedication to advancing the welfare of the people through impactful legislation, infrastructure development, youth empowerment and improved social services if re-elected for a second term, she pledged that her agenda would focus heavily on massive empowerment programmes for youths and women, expansion of educational opportunities through scholarships and learning support initiatives, rural road rehabilitation, improved healthcare delivery, economic development and increased support for small-scale businesses and entrepreneurs across the five local government areas of Kogi Central.
She also pledged to intensify efforts towards attracting federal projects to the district, improving electricity supply, strengthening security collaboration within communities and promoting policies that will enhance job creation and economic growth for the people.
She emphasised that her mission remains rooted in service, unity and inclusive leadership.
“For love. For people. For service. 2027,” she declared.
