Sanwo-Olu condoles with Abiodun over father's death

Alhaji Mutairu Owoeye, an estate consultant, has congratulated Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and his Ogun State counterpart, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on their recent victories at the polls.

Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), polled 762,134 votes to defeat his closest rival, Labour Party (LP), Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and Olajide Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Similarly, Abiodun of APC polled 276,298 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Ladi Adebutu of PDP who scored 262,383 votes.

Owoeye described the re-election of  Sanwo-Olu and Abiodun “as the true reflection of the will of the people.

“Their victories demonstrated the desire of the people. It was fair and honest exercise that permitted the full expression of the sovereign will of the people.

“The people have spoken loud and clear by placing their confidence on their governors to move  them to the next level. With Sanwo-Olu and Abiodun at the helms of affairs of their respective states, the two states will witness extraordinary developments.

“The voice of the people is the voice of God. Our people have resoundingly insisted that Governor Sanwo-Olu still remains their preferred driver for the journey ahead. His government has done a lot to bring developments to the people of Lagos State.

“Also, the victory of Abiodun is the will of God. His victory is a victory for  the people. I am very happy that the people elected a caring and loving leader like Abiodun, I urge them to stand by him throughout.

“Congratulations to the people of the two states for the wisdom and courage shown in deciding that the best of of all the candidates were elected.”

He said the outcome of the election showed that the governors did well in the last four years, adding that their electoral victories gave hope for the nation’s democracy.

He also congratulated all the members elected into the state assemblies on the platform of APC, urging them to continue to support their governors and bring more developments to their respective states.
