I want to reduce my level of alcohol consumption – Lola Sariki Idahosa, journalist

My 2024 New Year resolution are first, to be thankful to God; keeping track of things, people and events that I am grateful for throughout the year. By doing this I believe it can help me improve my mental health and physical wellness.

I want to create alternative sources of income -Emmanuel Ebong, graphic designer

I want to be more professionally efficient, innovative and do more research on alternative source of income. The outgoing year taught me big and rough lessons that I can no longer rely on one source of income. The year was rough economically. I don’t want to remember the year at all. I hope to go into consulting services, aside my professional calling. It is my prayer that 2024 should be far better than 2023.

I have set plans, which I set and continue to follow – Ibrahim Lapinni, NGO coordinator

I don’t usually set resolutions now or even in the past. I have set plans, which I set and continue to follow, which serve as a guide for me. My hope is that it should be better than previous years – Dennis Enegesele, university lecturer

I have not done any resolution before. I don’t have any but my hope is that it should be better than previous years. I expected a lot from the previous government, being a strong supporter of Buhari. There were so much policies of the government that affected the citizenry negatively. Cash policies, monetary policy, high rate of kidnapping, etc. My hope is that the new government provides policies that will be beneficial to Nigerians. Though the subsidy removal is a good call, there must be palliative to mitigate the effect of the policy. I strongly believe that Nigeria will be great again.

To render more help and services to those around me -Nnamdi Ofonye, politician

The year, 2024 for me is going to be a year for circumspection. There won’t be room for frivolities of all kinds. It will be a year to draw closer to God and then commit more to hard work. From the 1st of January, I will set targets for myself and begin to work towards them, as much wasn’t achieved in 2023 due to maybe, no set targets.

What this means by extension, is that I will be a long term planner as against my fire brigade approach to execution. I will plan my December project from as early as January. At the same time, I will commit more to humanity. Render more help and services to those around me who are in need of such help and services.
