Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has won support for a second term from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders in Osun West Senatorial District. Party executives, elders, and members made the call at a zonal meeting hosted by Senator Akogun Lere Oyewumi.

The group reviewed Adeleke’s work and agreed he’s done well. They said he’s made the PDP and Osun proud with strong governance. Hon Alidu Adeoye, Iwo Local Government party chairman, moved to endorse Adeleke for the 2026 governorship ticket. He spoke for local elected officials.

Adeoye listed Adeleke’s big wins in two years. He argued a performing governor deserves the ticket automatically. Ebenezer Bolarinwa, the state legal adviser, seconded the motion. Others, like Hon Sunday Oroniyi for commissioners and Alhaji Fatai Akinbade for elders, also backed it.
