Osun state chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has commenced preparations for the forthcoming local government election in the state as leaders of the party embark on the tour of all the 36 Local Government Areas in the state.
This is even as the party opened a new state secretariat in Osogbo, the state capital for efficient administrative running of the party.
The Acting Secretary of the party, Adegbaju Celestina who disclosed this to newsmen, said the party needs a more conducive secretariat due to the large number of people willing to join the party in the state.
According to Adegbaju, the secretariat they were using before was too small and could not contain them again, hence, the need for a more spacious secretariat where members will be comfortably attended to.
He noted that the new secretariat, which is located inside King Square Building, Opposite Biket junction, Ikirun road in Osogbo shall be unveiled at a date to be announced soon.
In the same vein, the leadership of NNPP in the state has embarked on a tour to all the local governments in the state to unveil their offices.
The first party secretariat to be unveiled is that of Obokun Local Government, located at Oke-Ese Street, beside Lapo Office, Ibokun.
The NNPP scribe enjoined lovers of good governance in the state to join NNPP as it is the only hope for the masses.
