The Osun State Government has signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with the Critical Minerals Financing Corporation Plc (CMFC) to develop and enhance the value of the state’s mineral assets. The agreement was finalised by the Office of Natural and Mineral Resources (Mining).
Speaking at the signing ceremony on behalf of the state government on Tuesday, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Mineral Resources, Prof. Lukman Jimoda, described the partnership as timely and strategic, aligning with Governor Ademola Adeleke’s vision to make the state’s mining sector viable and productive.
Prof. Jimoda expressed satisfaction with the win-win framework of the partnership while welcoming the Managing Director of CMFC, Anthony Adigwe, and his team to the Bola Ige House at the Governor’s Office, where the agreement was formally sealed.
He noted that the collaboration marked a major step forward in attracting credible investors to Osun State’s mining sector.
“We are here today to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement with CMFC. Since I assumed this position, we have been working tirelessly every day to secure reliable investors, and I am elated to announce that we have finally found a good one,” Prof. Jimoda said.

Commending Governor Ademola Adeleke, he praised the Governor’s unwavering passion for the growth and development of the mining sector since taking office.
During the event, Prof. Jimoda expressed concern that, out of eight previous mining agreements signed by past administrations in the state, only three or four remained active, with the rest having become moribund.
However, he disclosed that, alongside the new partnership with CMFC, the state had secured two additional investors, with agreements expected to be finalised soon.
The Special Adviser also assured CMFC of adequate security and safety for mining operations, not only within Osun State but across the entire Southwest region of Nigeria.
The signing ceremony was attended by top officials of the Osun mining sector, led by the Executive Secretary of the agency, Alh. Nurudeen A. Bello, and the Director of Operations, Mrs M.O. Olayiwola, among other dignitaries.
