Famous Nigerian Afrobeat artist David Adeleke, often known as Davido, has voiced concerns over an alleged attempt to deregister the Accord party ahead of the next governorship election in Osun State.

The artiste made the allegation in a post on X on Thursday.

Davido questioned the motives for deregistration and advocated for a free and fair election.

He wrote, “Deregister Accord party for what? Cowards let’s go to the field.”

This is coming 48 hours after Davido called out Gboyega Oyetola, the minister of Marine and Blue Economy, and the immediate past governor of the state, over an alleged desperate plan.

The Osun State governorship election is scheduled for August 15, 2026.
