Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray have confirmed that injured Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has successfully undergone surgery, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Nigerian international underwent the operation on Saturday at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital, with Galatasaray’s club doctor, Yener İnce, leading the medical procedure.
In an official statement, the Turkish champions confirmed that the striker’s condition would be closely monitored as he begins his recovery process.
“Our player Victor Osimhen underwent successful surgery today at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital, performed by our club doctor, Yener İnce.
“Our player’s condition will be monitored through daily assessments, and his treatment will continue under the supervision of our club’s medical team.
“We wish our player Victor Osimhen a speedy recovery and hope he gets well as soon as possible,” the club stated.
Osimhen sustained the injury during Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League encounter against German Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart on Tuesday.
The injury is expected to rule him out of Nigeria’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Tanzania.
