Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, has floated a socio-political pressure group called ‘Kwusike Political Family’ of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State through which he mobilises grassroots support for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and other candidates of the party in the state.

He explained that the membership of the group, which literally means ‘Standing firm for Buhari’ is open to all APC members in the state who supports Buhari’s re-election and other APC candidates recognised by the national leadership of the party.   The minister and his campaign train have for about a week traversed the various Local Government Areas in the state where they mobilised grassroots support for Buhari.  Speaking further on why the group is supporting Buhari, Onyeama said: “We want to be on the side of history; we want to be on the side of victory because in years to come, we will look back and we want our children and our grandchildren to say that this was the moment when the South East got its act together, united and followed a path of victory and a path of sustainable development for the South East and for Nigeria,” he said.
