One-Year Anniversary: Over Sixty Projects Ongoing Across Cross River – Ekpang

From Aniekan Aniekan, Calabar

Cross River State Information Commissioner Erasmus Ekpang has announced that over sixty projects are currently underway across the state.

The commissioner made this disclosure in Calabar during an inspection tour of projects within the Calabar metropolis. The inspection is part of a series of activities designed to showcase the achievements of the Governor Otu administration in the state.

“There are more than sixty projects ongoing that span the entire state,” Ekpang said. “The governor is working to rebuild damaged areas and construct new roads. We have a robust program for road rehabilitation, with ongoing projects on the Ukelle road, Ogoja GRA, Ikom Metropolis, and Yakurr, where internal roads are being repaired. There are also numerous street projects underway. These projects are transforming Cross River State.”

Hon. Cletus Obun, a former state lawmaker, commented that the inspection tour is an attempt to gain firsthand knowledge of the ongoing projects across the state.

Raymond Murphy, a senior citizen of Cross River State, expressed his satisfaction with the progress, stating that the current developments represent a significant improvement over previous conditions.

As part of his one-year anniversary celebrations, Governor Otu is scheduled to hold a town hall meeting to provide an account of his administration’s achievements. He will also inaugurate a two-thousand-hectare agricultural land in Odukpani.
