Ondo 2024: Akoko Obas, elders, indigenes rally round Funmi Ayinke Adekojo

As the race for Ondo State Government House gathers momentum, one of the contenders and a 40-year-old Funmi Ayinke, Waheed – Adekojo, has reached out to stakeholders.

The technocrat and business guru, said consultations have already begun in earnest and her campaign is gaining traction as she begins from her home base, Akoko.

“The people of the land showed unbridled excitement as they trooped out in support of their illustrious daughter,” a supporter noted.

Prominent Obas and elders of the land, showed up at the palace of the Zaki of Arigidi Akoko land where they gave the successful business mogul their blessings.

One after another, they praised her philanthropy to the people over the years and particularly hailed her for being a woman of integrity.

According to the Kabiyesi of Isua Akoko: “We are happy to have a woman running for Governor. We have highly educated people in Akoko and many illustrious sons and daughters who have proven that what a man can do, a woman can also do, if not better.”

The chief executive officer of one of Nigeria’s leading engineering companies, Adekojo is targeting the APC governorship ticket under the slogan: “Hope for All”.

She’s been noted as one of the top contenders and political pundits say, she is most likely to get the ticket, being the most prepared and most accepted by all Constituencies, at the moment.
