Dr Olukayode Abraham Ajulo is widely recognized as one of the leading legal minds of his generation. In legal and political circles, Ajulo, an Officer of the Order of the Niger, OON, is known for his sharp intellect, direct advocacy, and strong commitment to the rule of law. As a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Ondo State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, these positions place him at the centre of legal and policy decisions in the state and Nigeria’s as a whole. But those who work closely with Ajulo say there is another dimension to his life that receives less public attention.

Beyond courtrooms, strategy meetings, and government corridors, Ajulo is deeply committed to his Christian faith. Associates note that his approach to worship is consistent and deliberate, with a reverence that reflects in how he prioritises spiritual responsibilities alongside public duties. They also point to a reflective side of his personality, with an appreciation for Christian fellowship, worship, and traditional hymns.

For Ajulo, faith is expressed through daily conduct rather than public display. That less-public side was evident last weekend when Ajulo attended the Women Fellowship Day of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Abuja District Headquarters, as Special Guest of Honour and Father of the Day. And the outing was memorable.

Ajulo delivered messages of encouragement and joined in hymn renditions that resonated with the congregation. His remarks received a standing ovation and sustained applause. He also provided financial support for the church’s activities, which organisers said would assist ongoing projects.

To Ajulo, public service and personal faith appear closely connected. While his legal brilliance and political influence define much of his public profile, his work ethic is guided by principles of service and devotion.

The affable Ondo State number one law officer’s recent ecclesiastical appearance underscores a perspective common among many public officials: that titles and professional achievements exist alongside personal convictions that shape how they engage with communities. As he continues in his public service role, Ajulo’s story reflects the balance some leaders strike between demanding public responsibilities and the personal values that guide them.
