The Executive Governor of Delta, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has described His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, as a blessing to the state just as he lauded the efforts of traditional rulers in ensuring the peace, unity and development in their domain.
Oborevwori stated this when he played host to the Olu of Warri who was a courtesy visit to the governor at Government House in Asaba, Delta State.
The revered first class monarch also used the occasion to congratulate the governor on his Supreme Court victory and assured him of the Kingdom’s continuous support and prayers.
The monarch also expressed his appreciation to the governor’s infrastructural reform and development in the area of roads, Ode Itsekiri Bridge, provision of portable water being executed
Ogiame also requested the governor to see to the rehabilitation of the port complexes in the state, University campus in Warri and refinery to stimulate social-economic development of Warri Kingdom and the state.
Responding, the Governor thanked the Olu of Warri for the visit and showed appreciation for the support he has enjoyed from the palace as well as the political class in the kingdom.
Oborevwori, warned those whose stock in trade is instigating crisis using social media to desist noting his administration is committed in fostering peace and development in the state.
