Organisers of Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) conference has announced some notable personalities who will speak at this year’s WIMBIZ annual conference.
The WIMBIZ conference is known for attracting high-profile and exceptional speakers, and this year will be no different. It will feature an impressive lineup of speakers, including the Conference Chairperson, Bimbo Oloyede, CEO, Strictly Speaking; Simon Melchior, Chief Executive Officer, ASSECO Software Nigeria Ltd; Omon Dike, Founder/CEO, U-Connect Human Resources Ltd & Gr8jobsngto; and Leena Pylvanainen, Ambassador of Finland to Nigeria, and to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Also, Dr. Rufai Oseni, TED Conferences Speaker, Advisor, Start Up Africa, Global Speaker, TV Host; Tosin Adefeko, CEO, AT3 Resources; Josephine Ehimen, CEO, Nett Pharmacy; and Jette Bjerrum, Consul General & Head of Mission, Royal Danish Consulate General, Lagos, are part of the conference speakers.

At a press conference to intimate the media of the activities mapped out for the programme, WIMBIZ also expressed excitment to announce the theme for its 22nd annual conference, which will be held from November 2nd to November 3rd, 2023, at Eko Hotels and Suites. The conference theme, “Mission I’MPosssible: Thrive!”, is set to inspire, empower and equip participants with the tools necessary to thrive in uncertain times. “This year’s theme is timely and relevant as it comes against the backdrop of economic and social challenges of women in Nigeria and its impact on their various careers and businesses,” stated Hansatu Adegbite, Executive Director, WIMBIZ.
Adegbite during the Press Conference, elaborated that a significant number of the remarkable accomplishments achieved by women were as a result of attending the WIMBIZ annual conference. She further explained that the conference was established to inspire women to reach their full potential and achieve great feats in their respective fields.
The event will feature several sessions, including 5 Plenaries, 2 Deep Dives, WIMBIZ Conversations, and a Debate. These sessions according to the organisers will explore a wide range of topics, including parenting, health, technology, and governance. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from experts in their respective fields and leave with actionable insights to apply to their businesses or organisations.
The event, according to the conference organisers, will close with an “After Party” that promises to be unforgettable. This year’s conference promises to be an engaging and insightful experience for all participants, as participants were urged not to miss this opportunity to be a part of the conversation and learn from some of the best minds in business and public service.
Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) is a Non-Profit Organisation that has, over the last 22 years, implemented programmes that inspire, empower and advocate for a greater representation of women in leadership positions in the public and private sector.
It has a contributory associate pool of 2,130 accomplished women in management, business and public service.
WIMBIZ collaborates with credible domestic and international organisations to deliver programs, which have positively influenced over 313,071 women to excel in their businesses and careers.
