As part of her enduring commitment to humanitarian service and community development, journalist and Queen of Apomu Kingdom in Osun State, Olori Janet Afolabi has once again extended a helping hand to the needy in the serene ancient community of Apomu. Through her food bank outreach, Olori Afolabi shared various food items to many people in the community, especially vulnerable women and children.

Speaking during the event, Olori Afolabi said she organised the programme to provide essential food items to households facing economic challenges. According to her, the outreach was borne out of her commitment to ensure that no child or family in Apomu goes to bed hungry or remains awake because of hunger.

Beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the Olori while describing the gesture as timely.

A senior palace Chief and Otun Iyalode of Apomu, Christiana Akinlabu, said the initiative reflects Olori Afolabi’s unwavering passion to serve humanity and her belief that access to food is a basic necessity that shouldn’t be denied anyone, especially children.
