Old students of C.I.C Enugu offer scholarship

The class of 1999 at the College of the Immaculate Conception (C.I.C.) Enugu and Lagos branches has offered scholarship to five indigents students of their Alma Mater as part of activities marking the 80th anniversary of the school

The initiative, according to the Class of 1999, was a way of giving back to the school. The is targeted at paying the school fees of five

indigent students (one from each class, JSS2 to SS3).

The deserving students were selected after participating in a qualifying examination that was held recently and closely monitored by selected teachers, the principal, and representatives of the C.I.C.19 99 set.

The beneficiaries of the scholarship offer include: Aligwe Chukwudubem Kingsley (JSS 2), Nwakeze Chiemerie Moses (JSS 3), Chukwuemeka Anthony(SSS 1), Ufete Francis(SSS 2) and  Ozioko-Onah Franklin(SSS 3).

Speaking on behalf of the alumni, the chairman of the C.I.C. 1999 set, Lagos branch scholarship committee, Mr. Wilson Chime, thanked the principal and members of staff for the good job they are doing towards the development of the students and encouraged the awardees and the rest of the students to continue to do the needful  in order to maintain excellence in their academic, spiritual, and social lives.

The principal, Rev. Fr. Mgbodile, applauded the kind gesture of the C. I. C. 1999 set, Lagos branch, in taking up the initiative to support intelligent and indigent students, saying this was the first of its kind in the school.
