The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has condoled with the family of Nigeria’s foremost businessman and philanthropists, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata over his recent death.

The organisation in its condolence letter released by the National Publicity Secretary, Ezechi Chukwu, urged the people of Kano State, its governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, as well as the Emir of Kano Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II to bear his loss with fortitude.

Chukwu said: “The Leader of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Alex Mbata and the entire Igbo takes cognisance of the fact that not only was Alhaji Dantata an eminent elder statesman, he was also a successful businessman, captain of industry, renowned philanthropist and outstanding mentor, who tutored an array of contemporary wealth creators in Nigeria.

“Alhaji Dantata has paid his dues in both nation building and human capacity development with his impactful robust endeavours cutting across over half a century.

“Nigeria has lost an icon with monumental import to humanity. We still find solace in his celebrated legacies, which constitute a dependable cornerstone for future generation.

“We urge the youth to emulate Alhaji Dantata’s sense of industry, focus and resilience, where hard work and discipline are the standard for self development and success.

“Ohanaeze prays that God may grant his soul eternal rest and give his family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” Chukwu stated.
