The statement reads, “I also heartily congratulate all other duly elected national executives and members of the Senate (Legislative Arm) on their successful election which was held in Abeokuta, the state capital last Saturday.

“Your emergence reflects the confidence reposed in you by the legitimate Ogun State students nationwide and this signals a new phase of leadership and responsibility.

“COSSY commends the democratic process that produced the newly elected leadership and charges the student leaders to uphold unity, transparency, accountability, and purposeful leadership.

“As you assume office, we urge you to prioritize a student-centered administration that genuinely addresses the welfare, academic advancement, empowerment, representation, and overall development of Ogun State students across all campuses in the country.”

COSSY particularly called on the Executive and Legislative arms of NAOSS to work in synergy, fostering constructive engagement, progressive policies, and people oriented legislation that will strengthen the association as a formidable voice for the indigenous students’ interests.

“As stakeholders in youth and students development, the Coalition of Ogun State Students and Youths (COSSY) remains committed to collaboration, constructive criticism, and support toward initiatives that promote inclusiveness, peace, and sustainable growth within the Ogun Students community,” the statement further reads.
