Players of Go Round Football Club of Omoku, Rivers State will get N500,000 if they win today’s Nigeria National League opening fixture against First Bank Football Club of Lagos at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.
President of the club, Felix Obuah, who dangled the carrot at the players before they left their base for Lagos, charged the team to begin the new season with victory to brighten its dream of playing in the premier league next season
“I know it is the first match of the season, but if you want a good ending you have to have a good start. That’s why I charge you to go to Lagos and come back with victory,” Obuah said.
“When you win, expect something from me in the region of half a million naira as bonus and encouragement for you,” the president said.
Obuah asssured the players and technical crew that he would appreciate them handsomely if they end the season with a promotion ticket to the Premier League.
