From Tony Osauzo, Benin
Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has expressed shock and sorrow on the passing of Kenneth Enahoro, who he described as a good friend and supporter.
The governor, who condoled with the Enahoro’s family over the death of their son and father, recalled his relationship with the late Kenneth.
In a statement issued by his interim Press Secretary, Mr. John Mayaki, Governor Obaseki said even before he campaigned to run for governorship, the late Kenneth Enahoro had been a friend and adviser, whose wise counsel guided him in many of the decisions he took.
“Nigeria, Edo State, Esanland and the Enahoro family have lost a brilliant son with an analytical and patriotic mind,” the governor said.
He urged the Enahoro family to bear the loss, which he shared with them, bravely and with fortitude.
