Dr. Adekunle Badmus, the newly appointed ambassador to the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), led a historic visit to the Nigerian Embassy in Ankara, Turkey, on January 27.
Accompanied by a delegation of Nigerian youths, Badmus met with Nigerian Ambassador to Turkey, Ambassador Zayyad Habu Abdussalam, to discuss initiatives aimed at shaping Nigeria’s future through youth empowerment and leadership.
During the visit, Badmus outlined the vision and goals of the NYCN, emphasizing the growing influence of Nigerian youth in national development.
Representing NYCN Governor in Europe, Ambassador Collins Idahosa, Badmus underscored the critical role young Nigerians will play in driving transformative change within the country.
Badmus highlighted the NYCN’s commitment to promoting youth-led initiatives and advocating for increased investments in youth empowerment programs.
These initiatives, he noted, include civic education, leadership development, and support for young Nigerians in various sectors.
A key moment of the visit was the unveiling of The Global Clusters, a new platform designed to connect young Nigerian entrepreneurs, technocrats, and visionaries for collaboration and development.
Badmus described the platform as a revolutionary movement aimed at equipping Nigerian youth with the tools, knowledge, and networks necessary to become successful leaders and global citizens.
“The Global Clusters is a solution to Nigeria’s challenges,” Badmus said. “It will empower our youth with the resources they need to thrive in the global landscape, forging valuable connections with mentors and industry leaders.”
The initiative aims to unlock opportunities in education, entrepreneurship, and international collaboration, turning young Nigerians into passionate nation-builders. As part of the initiative, Badmus announced two key international events: the Global Clusters International Business Summit in Turkey, set for November 10-17, 2025, and International Youth Day in Madrid, Spain, on August 23, 2025.
These events are expected to provide Nigerian youth with a platform to showcase their talents, foster cross-border collaboration, and strengthen Nigeria’s presence on the global stage.
