NUT President lauds Kebbi Gov on payment of teachers backlog salaries

National President of Nigeria Union of Teacher( NUT), Comrade Michael Alogba  Olukoya,  has commended Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, for clearing all backlog of teacher’s salaries in the state.

Olukoya, who was in the state on a private visit, on Friday morning, said it is only Kebbi state that did not own teachers their salaries.

He said that many States in the country are yet to settle all the backlogs of salaries pervious administration left behind.

“Am in the state to see my friend and we are here to see Governor. Within an eye blink, Governor is within our midst. This is only state where a Governor of a state would not waste time to see his visitors.

” On behalf of teachers across the state, I want to commend the Governor for paying  all the backlogs of teachers salaries. We appreciated his action. ”

Olukoya also appealed to other States Governor’s to emulates Kebbi State government by paying all salaries they owed teachers in their various States.
