Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and Vice-Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged contractors handling projects on facilities for 21st National Sports Festival (NSF).
The NSF being hosted by the state is between November 28 and December 10, 2022.
Speaking with newsmen after inspection of ongoing projects at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Okowa said all projects for the sporting fiesta are expected to be completed by November 18.
The governor gave said he was worried over the pace of work, and urged the contractors to move “much faster than they are at the moment because there is a date for the festival already.”
He, however, stated that the contractors had reassured him that by the 18th of November, they would be out of the place, adding “so, I am going to hold them to their word.
