A 32-year-old woman, Mariam Yusuf, has been arrested by the NSCDC personnel for stealing baskets of tomatoes and pepper at Kulende Market in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The state command Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC, Ayeni Olasunkanmi who made this know in a press release to journalists, said the suspect was arrested on the 5th of April following a report by the traders in the market.
Stealing within Kulende market has become a serious issue between the traders such that, they’ve been suspecting each other. The matter has generated a lot of infighting between them.
However, luck ran out of Mariam Yusuf on Wednesday 5th of April when the NSCDC personnel apprehended her for stealing Tomatoes and other ingredients.
Mariam has confessed to the crime and necessary legal action will be taken soon.
