Niger Tornadoes attacking winger Wilfred Ammeh has described as payback time the clash against league leaders Plateau United.

The Ikon Allah Boys are hosts of the Tin City side in today’s top-flight matchday 29 clash at adopted ground, Confluence Stadium in Lokoja.

The Minna landlords were beaten 2-0 by the Jos Elephants in the first fixture clash at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos.

Ammeh said his side will pay due respect to the Jos landlords but will not compromise on the three points at stake.

“Firstly, we will give Plateau United their due respect for what they have achieved so far in the ongoing top-flight. “We have gone round the clock to train hard for the clash as we expect a tough challenge from Plateau United.

“Plateau United are difficult side each time they visited even the first fixture clash which they won 2-0 in Jos was equally difficult one.

“However, we are sure there will not be any hiding place for them today in Lokoja. “We came back empty-handed from Enyimba last week so it will not augur well on our aspiration to go ahead to lose another game on home ground. “I think the match is clearly a payback time for Plateau United for the painful defeat we suffered in their hands in Jos.

“We are damn ready just waiting for matchday to claim our three points to further help our course on the league log,” said Ammeh said.

The Minna outfit are eighth on the 20-team top-flight log on 40 points, 11 points behind opponents and leaders Plateau United.
