The Nigeria Olympic Committee has started the process of repositioning Nigeria Boxing for better results.
This follows the on-going international Olympic Committee/AIBA “One Star” solidarity boxing coaching course which began on Tuesday at the Brai Ayenote Boxing Gym within the National Stadium Complex, Surulere Lagos. According to the Nigeria Boxing Federation Secretary General Otusegun Bode Ademisoro, the weeklong course is being conducted by Ofori Asare, an IOC/AIBA certified International Boxing Instructor from Ghana while Fadele Samuel of the Nigeria Olympic Committee is Co-ordinator.
Secretary General of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, Tunde Popoola said the course is indeed timely as it will help more Nigerian Coaches to get AIBA Star Badges. “At least from this one star, they will now be aspiring to get more AIBA Coaching Stars in their chosen career,” Popoola said.
