No plans to retire now –Dele Abiodun

ADAWA Super King, Admiral Dele Abiodun has denied rumours mak­ing the rounds that he has retired from active music.

Speaking recently, the juju musician said: “I am still actively involved in music. I still play live shows though I have not released an album for long and this is due to the prevailing economic situation and pirates who have eaten deep into the music industry.”

The Adawa Super king who recently re-organised his band said that he is currently working on a new album which will be released before the end the year.

He added that for effective­ness he has appointed Pentouch Communications as his manage­ment consultant and also unveiled his band’s new executive members which are Deji Abariko, Captain, Tunde Ayang­bade, Treasurer, Ade Owosuyi, Chief Whip, Sunday Aderibigbe, Assistant Captain, Sule Alowonle, Assistant Chief Whip and Olu Adelugba, Band Manager.

The former PMAN president added that the aim of the re-organisa­tion is to repackage the band for effectiveness. Adawa as Dele Abio­dun is popularly called revealed that apart from the new album, he is also working on putting his popular songs on video.
