Ahead of the September 18, 2022, slated for the Igbo Day/ New Yam Festival and 10 years anniversary of his charismatic and reverred saddle on the royal throne of Obiukwu, Obieziokwu palace in the Republic of Ghana by His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu (Global Peace Ambassador); a Nigerian born media expert, news reporter and publisher, Njoku MacDonald Obinna, has been appointed a member of the Media & Publicity Sub – Committee of the 10th edition of the most attended cultural festival in the diaspora.
In a statement made available to the press and personally signed by the Igbo Monarch in Ghana, Eze Ihenetu; he commended the love, forthrightness, consistency, passion and avowed support of the media expert, Amb. Njoku MacDonald Obinna, in promoting the rich Igbo cultural heritage, her place of pride in African history, traditional institutions and social anthropology.

“MacDonald has shown resilience and tenacity in promoting Igbo rich culture not just in Ghana, but around the world using Obiukwu, Obieziokwu, Obi Igbo royal throne in Ghana as an epicenter. He is a worthy son of Igboland and true patriotic Nigerian, having shown patriotism, passion and dedication in his chosen career as a media expert. He deserves to be celebrated by the Igbo community in Ghana.“ He is expected to put in his wealth of experience and innovative ideas in information dissemination, announcements and recognition of Nigerians that shall grace the scheduled watershed event.
The Media Consultant and Publisher of 4th Estate Reporters, Njoku MacDonald Obinna; who hails from Imo State, was an eye witness reporter that covered the 2021 Igbo New Yam Festival in Ghana at the special invitation of His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu (Ezeigbo Ghana). He also covered the 2021|2022 Champion Newspapers Annual Award at the Eko Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos State, Nigeria; where Ezeigbo Ghana, Amb. Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu was honoured with a well deserved award as the most Outstanding Diaspora Personality of the Year by the organisers of Champion Newspapers Annual Award.
This year’s edition of Igbo Day|New Yam Festival will be special for a number of reasons; given the series of endorsements from UNESCO, other renowned national and international organisations.
Also billed to attend the watershed event are past presidents of Ghana: His Excellency, John Kufuor, His Excellency, John Mahama, His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, Prof. Pat Utomi, veteran Nollywood Actor, Jim Iyke and other Nigerian government functionaries and legislators.
