The Heads of the Civil Service of Nigeria and the United Kingdom have committed to enhancing collaboration on civil service reforms.
This agreement emerged from a meeting between Nigeria’s Head of Civil Service, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, and UK Cabinet Secretary, Simon Case, in London.
According to a statement issued by Head, Information and Public Relations, Eno Olotu, discussions centered on knowledge sharing, capability building, and enhancing Nigeria’s Civil Service Week, inspired by the UK’s “Civil Service Live” conference.
Both parties aim to implement exchange programmes and recognise the importance of mutual learning to strengthen their civil services and foster a productive partnership moving forward.
The dialogue focused on knowledge sharing and best practices to support Nigeria’s ongoing reform initiatives under the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP) 2021-2025.
The meeting underscored the commitment of Nigeria and the UK to building efficient and responsive Civil Services, with continued partnership and support in the years ahead.
