The draw will see each group formed by one team from each pot, with strict geographical guidelines in place. No group will have more than two European teams, while only one team each from Africa, the Americas, and Asia/Oceania is permitted per group—setting the stage for a balanced and competitive tournament.
For Nigeria, the draw represents a crucial step in their quest to make a significant impact on the global stage, following their dominance on the African continent in recent years.
The 2026 Women’s World Cup will be held in Berlin from September 4 to 13, bringing together the world’s elite teams in a battle for basketball supremacy.
The draw ceremony will also feature the FIBA Hall of Fame Class of 2026 Enshrinement Ceremony, adding further glamour to the occasion.
