Former Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar has said that despite the challenges bedeviling the country, citizens can still achieve the Nigeria of their dreams.
Abdulsalami stated this, on Thursday, Abuja, while speaking at the public presentation of the book “The
e making of Modern Nigeria: From Pre-colonial era till date “, published by The Sun Publishing Limited.
The former Head of State, who was the chairman of the occasion, noted that though the country is facing some challenges, it has all it takes to change the trajectory.
Earlier, the Managing Director of The Sun Publishing Limited, Mr. Onuoha Ukeh said that Nigerian children deserve to learn about the history of the country in school.
Ukeh stated this on Thursday, while speaking at the public presentation of the book ” The making of Modern Nigeria: From Pre-colonial era till date “, in Abuja. He stated the knowledge of the country’s history, will enable students as leaders of tomorrow for the the future.
The Sun MD, while expressing delight that history has been re-introduced in schools, stated that there is need for history to be made a compulsory course in higher institutions.
