NHC Canada To Collaborate With Cross Road of Culture, Commend Organizers
The Nigeria High Commission in Ottawa Ontario, Canada has assured the Organizers of the recently concluded Cross Road of Cultural Festival in Brampton of it determination of a future collaboration and support towards deepening and showcasing Nigeria culture in Canada.
The Commission in a letter commendation signed by Charge D’ Affaires, Ambassador Obioma Nzewuji and addressed to the Business Ambassador to the City of Brampton, Mr Akin Oduntan expressed satisfaction with the Organizers over the outing which had in attendance the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau and other noted Canadian politicians.
Nzewuji, noted that event had proved to be a veritable platform of showcasing Nigeria rich culture and tradition even as he expressed optimism of replicating the cultural event in other provinces across the North America country.
The letter dated 16th August, 2023 with a reference No: NHC/OTT/ADM/23 reads, ” I have the honour to heartily congratulate you and members of your team on the successful outing at the flavour of Nigeria which took place on August 10th, 2024, at the Ken Williams Garden Brampton, Ontario.
“The initiative which proved to be a veritable platform for showcasing Nigeria diverse culture, particularly it’s rich cultural tradition is not only commendable but also need to be replicated across the various provinces in Canada.
“While applauding you for the spectacular accomplishment, which in a way a compliment the mission’s ongoing engagements at promoting the Nigeria brand in Canada, pls rest assure of our availability to collaborate with you in the
future”.
The event which featured award presentation was organized Mr Chuks Anyaduba and Akin Oduntan also had attendance members of Parliament Arielle Kayabaga (London West), Shafqat Ali (Brampton Centre), Minister of Diversity, Inclusion and Persons with Disabilities Kamal Khera, and Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown.
Others are Nollywood actors Uzee Usman, Titi Kuti, celebrity journalist Adeniyi Ifetayo, and Ambassador Martins Acha.
