The management of Nigerian Gas Company (NGC), has assured host communities across the country of its open door policy to foster cordial working relationship to promote mutual benefits between the company and its stakeholders.
The Managing Director of NGC, Mr Babatunde Bakare, made this known at the weekend during the official inauguration and handing over of a Basic Health Centre to the Iraye Community in Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Bakare who was represented by the company’s General Manager, Support Services, Mrs Mariam Emmanel-Ate, solicited the cooperation and understanding of its host communities towards the sustainability of its business in their areas.
According to him; “This is just a token of appreciation and contribution to the development of Iraye Community as one of our peace loving communities in Nigeria”.
“As a responsive company, NGC remain committed to developing a robust and sustainable relationship with its over 350 host communities in the country to enhance business growth.
“As a Gas transportation Company, NGC has a network of gas pipeline extending over 2,500km and a Metering Stations located in 11 states in the country.
“ Our pipeline transverses over 350 host communities in the country,” he said. Bakare thanked the Ogun State government and the traditional rulers in Iraye Community for creating the enabling environment for peace that helped the project to succeed. The NGC boss also thanked the youth, security agencies for protecting the company’s properties in their domains. Responding, Mr Jide Ojuko Ogun state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs commend the NGC for complementing government effort in the provision of healthcare services.
