NFL: GTI lists plans for Nigeria league in next 10 years

Strategic partner for the Nigeria Premier League, GTI Capital, has listed what the elite league would gain through its intervention in the next ten years.
Enumerating the inherited gains, Project Director of The Nigeria Football Funds, an arm of GTI, Ine Nelson, at a media parley yesterday, said between the next five to ten years the remuneration of players and officials in the league would increased astronomically coupled with infrastructural development that will guarantee more revenue for the league body and increased viewership.
Nelson stressed that GTI’s intervention would also solve administrative and management conflict, eradicate hooliganism and poor officiating as well as stop insecurity at match venues.
Chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Nigeria Premier League, Gbenga Elegbeleye, while thanking GTI for its intervention, disclosed that the company injected the sum of N200 million as takeoff grant for the ongoing season, adding that the intervention has helped to solve the payment of referees indemnities and other allowances.
Elegbeleye also revealed that through GTI, the IMC gave all the 20 clubs N10 million just as he announced that the winner of the league would receive N100 million prize money.
