NFF to consider 2017 budget as annual general assembly holds

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), will this weekend consider for approval the Federation’s 2017 budget proposal at their 2016 annual general assembly billed for Lagos.

Also on the agenda is the consolidated and revised balance sheet and non profit -and- loss statement of the Federation which the Congress will receive for approval.

It would be recalled that the NFF is daunted with debts owed to the Women national teams, Falconets and Super Falcons, a situation that has prompted the 8th – timeAfrican Women Championship  heroines to drag the Glass House to the National Assembly on Wednesday.

According to a statement from the NFF, the general assembly will take place at the Best Western Hotel in Victoria Island.It will have in attendance, Chairmen and Secretaries of the Football Associations of the 36 States and the FCT, Chairmen and Secretaries of the various Leagues, Chairmen and Secretaries of the Referees Association, Coaches Association and Players Union, members of the NFF Executive Committee, NFF Management and a number of stakeholders.

Meanwhile, the  Executive Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode will be chief host, with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung as special guest.

Also expected for the Congress are Chairman of the Senate Committee on Sports, Senator Obinna Joseph Ogba; his counterpart in the House of Representatives,  Goni Lawan and the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth and Sports,  Chinyeaka haa among others.
