Management of WideScooe International Logistics Limited has entered into partnership with News Emperor magazine to package the maiden edition of Students Entrepreneurial Development Seminar on Transport.
Speaking on the partnership, managing director of the international conglomerate and freight forwarder, Alhaji (Dr.) Segun Musa, promised to sponsor over 100 students to participate in the forthcoming seminar.
According to him, the partnership is based on the same initiative, idea and zeal to further promote and encourage Nigerian graduates, undergraduate students, as well as youth entreprenures to gain knowledge of the marine and blue economy sector and tap from its numerous opportunities.
He said: “Widescooe Logistics and foundation are going to partner with the management of Richword Communication and Media Services, the publishers of News Emperor magazine, in its maiden edition of the Students Entrepreneurial Development Seminar.”
According to Musa, “this is a very nice project. We are planning to organise a similar programme through our foundation. The idea is to catch them young at the grassroots level. Let them be trained in the transport sector
“I also intend to use my 35 years experience in the transport sector to really impact a lot on Nigerian youths, as part of my company’s corporate social responsibility to the industry.
“The more we catch them young and train them at the grassroots level in transport-related areas, the better it would be for the sector and the entire country.”
According to Ambrose Okehi, publisher of News Emperor Magazine, maritime stakeholders, entrepreneures and captains of industry as well as Nigerian youths and students are already warming up for the maiden edition of the event.
