NEMA confirms attack on warehouse in FCT

  • Likens raid to #EndSARS

From Okwe Obi, Abuja

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed an attack on its warehouse in the Karimo axis of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Some residents of Abuja had, on Sunday, raided and looted foodstuff, in a warehouse, belonging to NEMA.

The action, according to an eyewitness was not unconnected to the economic hardship in the country.

NEMA Head of Media, Ezekiel Manzo, in a telephone conversation, likened the invasion to another round of EndSARS protest.

He said: “I have been receiving so many calls to that effect. I called a colleague. He confirmed it to me. I think we are in another era of EndSARS.

“I am going back into the church until after service before I can follow up on that. We will close at 12 p.m. Then I will call the officers concerned.
