Media personality Nedu Wazobia has lamented the rising cost of living and economic hardship in Nigeria, saying many Nigerians now struggle to meet their basic needs.
Nedu made the remarks in a video while highlighting the rising costs of school fees, house rent, food, transportation, fuel and healthcare.
He said many workers receive their salaries only to spend most of the money almost immediately due to the financial demands they face.
According to him, the economic pressure is also pushing some people into desperate actions.
“People are doing things they never imagined they will do, hurting people, betraying people, cutting corners, not necessarily because they were born wicked but because survival has become a daily battle in this our country,” Nedu said.
He said Nigerians are not asking for miracles but want an economy where hard work can provide a decent living.
“We just want an economy where working hard can actually mean something, where a parent can provide for their children without stress and where ordinary Nigerians can wake up tomorrow with little less fear and a little more hope. At least we deserve that,” he added.
